Want to help your team in Fortnite? Then a new video shows you how to be a field medic for your friends…

YouTube channel Sushii Films has uploaded a new video that showcases a unique way to play Fortnite‘s 50 versus 50 mode.

As you may know, players in Fortnite‘s 50 versus 50 mode are able to revive anyone on their squad. They can even drop some healing items for their team mates whenever they have them available. It’s a helpful feature that many players use whenever they can.

However, Sushii Films takes things a step further. He shows how it’s entirely possible for a player to assume a combat medic role in this mode. While that certainly includes reviving people whenever you see that they are down, we also see the medic character build encampments that are loaded with bandages, health kits, and shields. Furthermore, he tries to build defensive structures to protect other players whenever possible. He even rides around the map on a golf cart to get to those in need as soon as he is able.

Is this actually a viable strategy? Honestly, you can make the argument that it is. Because Fortnite doesn’t emphasise the sniper role quite as much as other battle royale games, there might be more chances to actually survive on the battlefield while you heal your friends.

Still, it’s pretty clear that this video was made largely for entertainment purposes. Sushii Films makes incredible use of Fortnite’s native Replay Tool to construct a highly-amusing video that not only shows off a fun way to play the game but makes excellent use of Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out For A Hero. There’s no shortage of Fortnite replay videos out there, but this has to be one of the most well-produced examples of what you can do using footage from the game.

Whether or not you can rely on more of your teammates to actually help you out because of this video’s existence is another matter entirely.
