One of the best live action family films in recent times was 2015’s Goosebumps movie, starring Jack Black. The film cleverly put a spin on R L Stine’s best-selling book series, and also captured a little of the spirit of Joe Dante. Furthermore, it proved to be a good hit. Good enough that Sony wanted a sequel.
That sequel is called Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, and Black will be lending his voice to the new movie. On the whole, though, it’s a change of personnel we’re getting. Ari Sandel takes over in the director’s chair, Rob Lieber is penning the script this time around, and the cast is primarily new.
You can see how it’s all shaping up already, though, with the first trailer for the film. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween will be in cinemas, understandably, in October, and here’s a flavour of just what’s in store…
