Rebecca Ferguson is joining the lead cast of the new Men In Black movie.
Fresh from returning to the Mission: Impossible franchise in Fallout, she’s now set to star alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson and Liam Neeson in the new MiB.
Directed by F Gary Gray, the new movie is pegged as a spin-off – not a sequel or a reboot – set in the same world as the original trilogy but not starring Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones.
There’s no word yet on who Ferguson will be playing, although the film clearly already has a pretty full cast list. We know that Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are the two new partners, Emma Thompson is back as Agent O and Neeson is the head of the agency, so does that mean Ferguson might be the villain?
If so, that will be two baddies in a row for Ferguson, who is currently shooting the Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep, starring as the evil cult leader out to nab Ewan McGreggor’s grown Danny Torrance.
MiB is out next June.
